Join a fun and welcoming ukulele program with Dayna Manning — a Juno-nominated Canadian songwriter, recording artist, and founder of Folk Army, where hundreds of kids and adults have explored the joy of making music. With a Master of Arts in Community Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, Dayna is an experienced leader who adapts her teaching to support both group dynamics and individual learning needs.

Kids Ukulele (Ages 7 & up): 5:00 – 5:50 PM
Beginner Adult Ukulele: 6:00 – 6:50 PM
Intermediate/Advanced Adult Ukulele: 7:00 – 7:50 PM
Class Descriptions
Kids Ukulele: This class is a continuation from the fall session, helping kids build on what they’ve already learned while introducing new songs and skills.
Beginner Adult Ukulele: For adults who want to learn or improve their skills with C, F, Am, and G chords and basic tablature. We’ll start from the beginning, focusing on strumming, chord transitions, and playing simple songs in a supportive group.
Intermediate/Advanced Adult Ukulele & Guitar: For adults who are comfortable with C, G, Am, F and are eager to explore more complex chords, rhythms, and tablature. This class is designed to challenge experienced players and help them expand their skills. If you would like to play guitar in this class, light guitar instruction will be included.
Since the Folk Army Family Class is not being offered this session, please reach out to us so we can help your family find another class that fits your needs.

Beginner Adult Ukulele (9 sessions): Jan 6 – Mar 3 — $220
Intermediate/Advanced Adult (9 sessions): Jan 6 – Mar 3 — $220
Equipment
Having your own instrument is recommended, but if you don’t have one, ukuleles are available for you to use and take home. A tuner and ukulele capo are a bonus!
